The Bid Ask Bar would benefit greatly from having the same settings/logic as the Large Volume Trade Indicator to control scaling and coloring of the bars (i.e. ability to change whether average volume is based on visible bars or all bars, and to set maximum/minimum volume based on percentage above/below median). Right now it suffers from the same issues/limitations as the early version of the Large Volume Trade Indicator, as described in the following thread.

large volume trade indicator scaling

In particular, if the market sees a sharp increase in volume on a news event, the Bid-Ask Bar will treat all bars after the event as low volume bars until the reaction to the event is no longer visible on the chart. For markets, such as oil, that have regular, weekly market-moving numbers releases, this is a problem. With the same scaling logic as the Large Volume Trade Indicator to deal with this issue, the Bid Ask Bar could be a very useful tool to users for spotting climax moves and absorption on shorter time-frames. Certainly, it's one of the probably lesser-known features of SC that deserve more praise. If copying the scaling logic over to the Bid Ask Bar is not a big ask, please consider adding it to the next version of SC.
