I installed version 1614 and when I restarted SC, none of my charts or spreadsheets appear in the chart book anymore. Sounds like there was some error on your side with saving it. But there are backups of your Chartbooks and spreadsheets as you have used. There is no problem with the new version with reading existing Chartbooks.
