We do not think this relates to persistent variables. Essentially the handling is the same. There was no practical difference. Persistent variables are stored in an STL map. The interface to it is very straightforward and simple. We will just let this go for now. It is more likely the problem has to do with the particular generated code by the compiler. But the compiler is the same across versions. And we do not see why some very small differences in the header file would make a difference.
