Select Global Settings >> Tool Configurations >> Rectangle Configuration. Configure the Rectangle drawing tool as required and make sure you are aware of what Tool Configuration Number it is being saved as. Before using the rectangle tool, select Tools >> Current Tool Configuration>> [Configuration Number]. You should not have any problem.
