So far one computer stopped working three times. I had to manually shut it down since even Task Manager would not display properly for me to ‘End Task,’ although one time I did get Task Manager to work but that time I shut down IB TWS first even though IB said when I checked the data button on its screen that it was connected. It said I should use two different port numbers for running two instances on two computers. I thought that meant two separate instances on one computer and two other separate instances on another computer. I didn’t think I would need real time data from IB to place trades through Sierra, is that correct? We do not think so.Is there is a place that has archive logs so I could see what was written before the system froze up? You could enable Global Settings >> General Settings >> Save Message Log to File. The files will be in the Logs subfolder.“Message from IB: Market data farm connection is inactive but should be available upon demand.usfarm.us. IB Error Code: 2108. Request ID: -1. | 2017-07-13 01:39:57” If your entire system is freezing, that is a system issue. That would not be caused by either TWS or Sierra Chart. Neither of them have any ability to cause a systemwide problem. We recommend uninstalling any third-party security or firewall software you are running. And make sure your video driver is up to date.
