Yes, completely valid for time based charts, but only those, not renko, range, et cetera. From what it seems a growing number of traders are using non-time based charts. Some of these may use time charts for a higher level overview, but trade on the non-time based chart. I only look at range bars, and use a larger range bar for the overview. I wrote (ninjatrader) indicators that add time based components to the chart but the charts themselves are range bar, and in Ninja these charts do not project a time on the X-axis beyond the current active bar. So, that is what my eyes are accustomed to seeing, but I can adapt. |
