I have followed those instructions provided for years and I am very familiar with them thank you. The problem I have described is independent of those instructions. From redownloading, restarting and deleteing the .scid data files in the data folder, I have managed to obtain the chart displayed back to 2012-22-2. This is despite under Days to Load it saying 1900, Date Range 2011-11-13 to 2017-05-05, and Global Settings, Data Service Settings set to 2000 Non-Tick data. It is still confusing but will suffice for the moment..
