Historical downloads are not reliable
They are reliable but because there is a connectivity problem between your system and the server or something similar is the reason for the problem. It is not some kind of bug. You may have misunderstood what we meant previously.I presume that Sierra will see it as a priority to fix this if it is not a freak occurrence but is actually happening quite often. No not at all. There is nothing we can do to make this better without causing worse consequences. It should be easy to make a checksum/hash to verify the data is correct. (I'm a computer programmer(consultant) by trade so I've implemented client server LRU cache systems before) We have heard this before. And it is actually something which simply cannot be done. We do not have time to discuss, but it simply will never work for a myriad of reasons because there will always be differences between files on the user side and on the server. Most data does not even originate from our own server anyway. It would be completely ridiculous to even attempt it and would cause massive performance issues and boatloads of problems for users and for us. The Support Board would be full of massive complaints day after day after day after day after day with all of the problems from the consequence of something like this. It would result in total and complete insanity. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
