Post From: LMAX: Proposed Change for CFD Order Quantities

LMAX uses fractional quantities for Forex pairs.

Since Sierra Chart uses integers for order quantities, the only way in which a .1 quantity can be represented is by specifying it as an integer which would be 1. An order quantity of one is specified as 10.

Therefore, order quantities in Sierra Chart for LMAX need to be multiplied by 10.

This is also the case with CFDs which do not trade in fractions. We propose, that in the case of CFD symbols, that that you specify the integer quantity exactly as is which will be sent to LMAX with the order. So for example a quantity of 1 will be sent as 1 in the case of a CFD.

The objective of this is to make trading CFDs easier because the quantities are easier to understand.

We would like feedback about this proposed change. Whether you agree with it or disagree. The change has to be coordinated.

We need to set a time to actually do the changeover and at that time there cannot be any working CFD orders over the weekend it is done. So these will need to be canceled by you before the changeover and if we see any CFD orders, we will not be able to do the change.
