We see you are running 1490. We do not think that version was affected. It is very hard to answer your question because the problem could manifest itself in so many different ways. One user noticed Sierra Chart was just locking up. Why? We absolutely no idea. Does not make much sense to us. But a wide range of problems usually are caused by memory corruptions and we strongly suspect it is in the open SSL library. This is all that we know. We do not have much answers ourselves, but we do have confidence the problem is gone or extremely unlikely to occur. But we have lost confidence in Open SSL for this and other reasons and are going to implement an alternative in the next couple of months. We also could be completely wrong about the source of the problem. Could be some bug within the Windows operating system. And it could be, just that newer versions are not affected by the memory corruption. The problem could very well still be there. It could even be within our own code but if it is, we will be able to track that down with certainty at some point once that becomes clear. One of the recent problems was a rather simple issue involving historical data downloads not automatically starting due to a window message not getting processed. But that should not have caused any stability issues but there is additional work we are doing today on that to definitively resolve that.
