The text field requirement is not clear. If you just want to just edit text in chart region 2 then you could just add a study to that region( set to ignore), and then select the text tool in that region. Your general requirements seem basic to setup and could be created using simple alerts- http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/StudyChartAlertsAndScanning.php - the "Horizontal lines study" would control the price level, which you would manually input using "Line1 Value" - The moving average crossing the price level/ and the next bar closing above/below a price level would be set up using "ColorBarBasedOnAlaertConidtion" Please find example chart book attached> Add this to your SC data folder, then apply to a chart- http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/StudyCollections.html#Applying (updated link for accuracy) -When your moving average crosses and closes above price level a pink dot will paint below the bar(ID4), and an alert will sound. -If the next bar closes above (ID4) a blue bar will paint -If the next bar closes below (ID4) a red bar will paint *You can customize the moving average and price level to anything you want. *Visual/ audible alerts can be configured in the setting for each "ColorBarBasedOnAlaertConidtion" study.
