This could not be the case. We have only just release support for it and cannot imagine anyone is using it especially being we have not even written the documentation.

Thank you for installing CQG. I have 3 questions: 1. Just to be sure. Does this also work with Continuum? There is no difference between CQG and Continuum. Right? 2. You only mentioned 2 brokers. Does this als work with the brokers Mirus and Rosenthal Collins Group who both offer continuum? 3. If I use CQG/Continuum for order routing and trading within Sierra Chart, can I also add the IQfeed to display the market data (instead of the Sierra Chart Real-Time and Historical Futures Data Feed)? 1. Yes it does and they are the same. 2. Sierra Chart will work with any broker supporting CQG. 3. Yes. This will work. Thank you for your fast response, that helps a lot. However 2 questions are open: 1. Why didn't you use the market data feed of CQG/Continuum and integrated it into Sierra chart as you did with the former Zenfire data feed? 2. Are there any plans to integrate the data feed of CQG/Contiuum also for charting within Sierra Chart and if yes when will this happen? Date Time Of Last Edit: 2014-01-28 11:16:32

I agree with that #30. Why not integrate CQG market data. |

1. CQG only recently came out with an acceptable interface method for their market data. What they offered previously was not acceptable to us. What they offer now may not have historical data. In any case, the main reason now for not supporting the market data is there is only so much we can reasonably handle. We already work with a lot of data and trading services. It gets to be very impractical to be supporting so many different protocols. And we strongly advise CQG to support the open specification DTC protocol. 2. There is not any active plans to support the market data from CQG. Possibly towards the end of the year. 3. Also, with our current policies in place, with the kind of interface method provided by Zen-Fire/Rithmic, if we did not already support it, and users requested support we would not support it because they do not provide an acceptable interface method. They provide an in process API component which is not acceptable to us. sc Team - Thought Rithmic is already on DTC ( DTC bridge server ). Wondering if there is a typo or still there is a room for improvement from Rithmic API point of view. Thanks 3. We do support Rithmic currently and will always continue to support Rithmic. What we are saying is if we had a policy where we do not support in-process APIs back at the time we originally added support for Rithmic, we would not have.

I tried my two different accounts with Continuum (not CQG but it is the same right?), however both contiuum connections do not work according to the following error message: CQG Orders FIX Session: Received a Logout message. Text = Logon failed: Trader is not enabled to use FixService client application. Please contact your FCM. So what is a FixService and how can this problem be solved? Thank you... |

Thank you, the broker/FCM now connected Continuum with Sierra Chart and everything works fine now. However, what does "enable to use FixService client application" really mean? |

This is the actual message from the CQG server. Our interpretation of it is that your account was not enabled for the FIX service. FIX is the method that Sierra Chart uses to connect to CQG.
