In the Compare Threshold settings, what if you want a percentage comparison but above 100%. Now is set to .999 to look for doubles but what if I wanted 200% or 300%? Thanks

When using the Text Coloring Method of 'Text On Dominant Side Auction', the comparison is diagonal and not horizontal.

Please see attached image.

Maybe I'm misinterpret what has been said but if true, shouldn't the 2051 be colored red since it traded more volume than the 1778?

It has to be a percentage more depending on your settings like 25%, 50%, 75% above the other number.

In the current version (1095), there is an option in the background coloring to do dominant side coloring and an auction version as well which does the diagonal compares.

When doing dominant side comparisons, use values like "200" if you want 200%.

We are in the process of updating the Numbers Bars documentation to explain the above.

Great Job Sierra Charts on the Numbers "Dominant Side Auction" enhancement.

I would like to see the issue of "imbalance" showing at the top or bottom of a bar as described in post 15 on this thread ( and I think others) addressed.

The imbalance coloring is correct for background coloring, and will be addressed for text coloring in ver 1097.

Dear,

Al SC Developer said that we can find the option "background coloring" to input the value "200" for 200% in the Version (1095), unfortunately I updated SC & I can 't find it.
Could you please help on this ?

You need to refer to the doc here: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_NumbersBars.php

The background coloring type should be set to Dominant Side or Dominant Side Auction.

The thresholds are controlled with the Column Compare Thresholds, and you specify three values to determine which color to be used (i.e. "200,300,400" to specify 200%, 300%, and 400%). Also see the Dominant Side Percentage Coloring section in the doc.

All of this functionality is available in the current pre-release.

Dear,

Done, thank you so much.

Are you working to improve the imbalance on the top and bottom number ? because any numbers on the Top & bottom is always greater than a zero - it's clearly incorrect usage of imbalance.

If you are referring to the highest bid and lowest ask in auction mode, then yes these are not highlighted in the current pre-release because there is nothing to compare the values to.

Sorry I do not catch, what you are saying

You said : then yes these are not highlighted in the current pre-release

last thread : it is in current pre-release

could you be more specific ?

The doc referenced previously has been updated, please read it.

Everything is in the current pre-release (which is ver 1099 as of now), which means go download/update the code and try it out.

When doing auction compares (diagonal bid-ask compares), the highest bid and lowest ask price do not have anything to be compared against (the next/prev level is empty), and so are not highlighted. Previously, they were compared against zero, and were always colored. This functionality is implemented in the current pre-release.

I am thinking about level 5 subscription and following this thread to track progress, it seems Sc is doing what users has asked for, I am wondering if somebody post a screenshot of the newest enhancements to help me decide. Thanks

How can we set an alert for the largest threshold number?

Alerts of this type with the Numbers Bar study are not supported. But we are aware there are some user contributed studies that do this. At least we think so. You will need to search through this Support Board.

Question towards sierra users:
Does anyone know of a study who supports this, looked everywhere but could not find anything. Would be very interested in this, link much appriciated.

What is it you are interested in specifically? We do not know.

Also after reading this over, this is already supported through the standard coloring methods available with the Numbers Bars study:
How can we set an alert for the largest threshold number?

An audio alert makes absolutely no sense for something like this because there would be an alert on every single bar.

Example pic.
Alert is coloring background based on alert condition (and color bar based on alert condition.)
not a sound alert.
Together with other parameters which i already have in an alert condition, this will give me just a little bit more.
I use it on "2-range" bars, its possible that on larger timeframes the info is useless.
Will to pay for it if it's within budget.
(i use 3rd party software for number bars, the sierra number bar study for alert conditions.)
changed pic.... (buys/sells wording in stead of bid/ask)

You can already do what is described in the image attached to post #47 using the Color Bar Based on Alert Condition study:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/ColorBarBasedOnAlertCondition.php

However, we do not provide formula programming help.

Hello Sierra Team,
I contacted a developer from you list, and he is looking now into it, and he found a possible way to access the data. But i have not tested it yet.

Maybe my wording was a bit off as well for the request. In "other wording" i want to be able to get the bid/ask cross to be triggered by an alert.
Will update if i fail with the developer.
Thanks for your time
Peter

'Dominant Side Auction' option mentioned in this post is no longer available / called like that in Sierra Chart. What is the new name?
