Right, I understand that. But for example you can do BVAP(L,-1) and you will get the BVAP at the low of the last bar, no problem. But if you do BVAP(L, 1) you will NOT get the BVAP at the low of the PB bar (unless it is also the low of the current bar, that is), because it uses the current bar's low instead. This seems inconsistent, if one takes the PB bar to in fact be a "bar". I have workarounds for this but, it just seems like an inconsistency to me.

OK I think I'm losing my mind, but my previous statement does not appear to hold true, it seems that BVAP(L, -1) will not in fact return the BVAP at the low of the previous bar. I was so certain I'd done that in the past. Now I'm questioning reality. lol

I have that happen to me all the time. Most likely when you tested the Lows happened to line up, so it did give you what you expected, but it was just an anomaly. At least, that is our best guess, based on personal experience.

Aha I knew I'd done it before. BVAP(L[-1], -1)
Will get you the BVAP at the low of the prior bar. But BVAP(L[1], 1) will not get you the BVAP at the low of the PB bar. |

I guess I learned my one thing for the day. Great idea that I had never thought of.
