initiate sierrachart login the following msg displays when i click the x box on msg log:

Sierrachart-64.exe is not responding program shuts down eventually by itself after few minutes

not sure how to proceed to resolve - may be a conflict with Interactive Brokers but I would be happy if I could bring up my charts withoout being connected to any data service.

I'm using Windows 7

using current release

See if you can start Sierra Chart in Safe Mode. Let us know if this works for you or not. Refer to the following for how to use Safe Mode:

Yes I tried Safe Mode and also Force Logon and niether worked

I put it in safe mode and turned off "open files on startup" program started then tried to open a chartbook from list of existing chartbooks and it went into "busy" and then back to "not responding msg"

then did same opening procedure and opened a new file this loaded and I coud apply studies and its updating (not connected to Interactive Brokers)

seems like it doesn't like data that comes and CAME from Interactive Brokers including files in my chartbooks that worked previous to today

I can live with this since I'm changing brokers (but will still be using SierraCharts) but I need to be able to bring up what I was using , so I could get the parameters from my studies.

However it would be nice to get this working again or at leastfigure out why SC does not like my existing files built from IB data.

Please get us one of the chartbooks that does not work and we will take a look and see if there is something easily fixable.

But, the chances are that the chartbooks are corrupted for some reason. We do not know why this would have occurred. You can try to recover the chartbooks from the backups that we make for them. Refer to the following:
Chartbooks (Workspaces): Accessing a Backup Chartbook File
