I am looking for a study that will be able to spot fast price moves (impulse moves) over a specifically low period of time. For example I want to know if ES moves 10 points in 1 minute or perhaps 5 points in 20 seconds. Is there a study that would do something like put a line through the candle or multiple candles for the said price move? I would use this on a 10 Range Bar in Ticks chart or a very low time frame chart. Is there a study that can be configured for what I described? If this exact thing I'm describing does not exist. Is there a study similar that would do the same or similar? |

Use Number of Trades Per Bar as Bar Period Type and Bar Time Duration Study. This will provide the information you are looking for.

Create a 1 min (or 20 sec, etc) chart and create an alert condition when the low + high are greater than a certain number of ticks. Use Color Background or another suitable draw type. Overlay that onto your range/tick chart.
