Hi, I know we talked about this topic some years ago, I'm trying again to know if something has changed on the plans. Having the chance to draw volume profile based on the zig zag wolud be a great improvement especially for lower time frame charts, considering the high volatility on most of the assets that has actually become the norm, it would be really very helpful to have the chance to be able to draw volume profile based on the swings (zig zag). Considering that it is already possible with the "Zig Zag Cumulative Volume" to calculate the total volume and the delta volume of a single zig zag leg, I was wandering if it could be also showed as Volume By Price study. I attached an example of another trading platform that does it just to clarify, I really hope that you take into consideration this thing, it woluld be a great step forward for Sierra Chart. Regards. Looks like this feature was being requested since at least 2015 to no avail. Hope the SC support are able to implement it sooner rather than later as I have also been banging my head against the wall trying to make something similar to the implementation in the other platform.

yes, it is really a pity that also average/entry level platforms like Tradingview have the zig zag volume profile, https://www.tradingview.com/script/L2LxYayS-Zig-Zag-Volume-Profile-Bull-vs-Bear-Kioseff-Trading/ and a professional and fully customizable platform like Sierra doesn't have it... Hope the SC support will rethink about it since the calculations every single zig zag leg are already available but they cannot be displayed as volume profile. regards R. |
