in bar#1:
-there were 2782 offers hit at 124 47 and only 1121 bids hit at 124 46, thus this price is green, ok.
-however there were only 119 offers hit at 124 48 and 1175 bids hit at 124 47 --a larger imbalance
which of these should determine the dominant color?

likewise in bar#2
-3851 offers vs 459 bids =green, ok
-only 2 offers hit at 48, and 1480 bids hit at 47. this could be colored red instead, no?
but there is obviously no way to color it both at once. is this a dilemma?

This is not a valid configuration. The diagonal dominant side coloring is only valid when you are doing Background on the dominant side. Otherwise there is no way to color both like you mention. Another way to do this, is to use the diagonal dominant side in the Text Coloring instead of the background, then you can have the profile and see the colors. The other method is to set up two columns, one for the profile, and one for the bid x ask.
