Hello, I´am trading via DTC protocol on Rithmic and for opening a position I´am using ORDER_TYPE_LIMIT. This means, I have to set up the price for max/min which I want to open a trade. But in this case, see my screen attached, the average fill price was not correct according to order I have sent. And then my next child orders SL & TP were changed too. Is this correct by using this entry typ of order limit - price changes for TP & SL? And how is it possible, that the position was opened out of my price range? thanks |

You do not set a "Price Range" for a Limit order, you just set the price at which you want the limit to be set at. The whole point of a Limit order is that you are telling the exchange that you only want the order to fill at that price or better. For a Long position, this would mean at the Limit price or lower. Since you had an order quantity of 3, your average price for the 3 orders was 5576.75. This means that not all the orders will filled at your Limit order price since there was not enough buyers at that price to fill all 3. With regards to the child orders, refer to the following setting: Global Trade Settings Windows: Adjust Attached Orders to Maintain Same Offset on Parent Fill (Global Settings >> General Trade Settings >> General) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
