After changing a chart to view the evening session (Ctrl G) my custom spreadsheet study changed to different values. Is there a way to reset or refresh the custom spreadsheet study on a chart without having to close SC and then open SC again? |

When the Session Times change, all of the chart data is outputted to the spreadsheet and all of the formulas are updated. If there is some problem, there must be something inherently wrong with what you are doing which is causing the problem. Maybe something with calculation precedence: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_ChartStudies.html#StudyCalculationPrecedence You certainly do not have to close Sierra Chart and open it again. Go to Chart >> Reload and Recalculate, or Chart >> Recalculate.

thnx tomgilb - I appreciate the community answering questions much! did what post #4 suggested many times yesterday but only closing SC and restarting provided correct output for my custom spreadsheet study. I think SC post #2 may be my issue. can SC or anyone help? my spreadsheet study is using "Cumulative Sum of Study" on the "Volume" study and the "Cumulative Sum of Study" is outputted to spreadsheet column AD. Then, I am using column AD in a formula in column K which I think is causing an issue with calculation precedence. Is there a way to get "Cumulative Sum of Study" outputted in column K or to the left of L? Or is there a way to output column AD in spreadsheet 1 to column K in spreadsheet 2? Any suggestions would be appreciated from SC or others. |
