Hello I hope you are all well. I would be really grateful for help with my footprint chart My footprint chart is based on renko bars in ticks. When I try to duplicate this chart, the system duplicates the chart and produces another identical chart (which is what I want), it then immediately downloads the data again and converts the chart from a renko chart to a 3 min time based chart. If I go into chart settings > bar period > and change the bar period type back to renko bar in ticks and set the bar period value to 3 ticks, the system reloads the data and produces the desired chart, and then immediately converts it back to a 3 min time based chart. This also happens happens to any other footprint chart that I duplicate across from another chartbook. I have check the study settings and they all seem to be the same, I cannot work out why this is happening. Please help. Best wishes Chris |

You most likely have the chart linking setup for the Bar Period and when you duplicate to another chartbook it is then picking up the linking for a different chart. Refer to the following: Chart Settings: Chart Linking (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Linking menu) The other possibility is that the chart has a dependency on another chart, and then when duplicating to another chartbook, that other chart has a different bar period. This is similar to the above but would be due to a study. Refer to the following: Unable to Change the Bar Time Period for Charts For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
