I have set up a footprint according to the instructions here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/NumbersBars.php#DiagonalComparison (specifically I'm using "Background on Dominant Side" and "Based On Diagonal Dominant Side Ask Vol Bid Vol Percentage") However, it seems that whenever there's a 0 on either the Bid or the Ask side, any coloring is skipped completely. From what I've read thus far, this may be intentional, but makes no sense at all to be frank. In thin markets you frequently have this situation and even if there's nothing on the Bid or Ask side, that's still an imbalance by any definition of the word that you want to see at a glance and should be marked at such just like any other. Is there a way to have consistent coloring in number bars when zeroes are involved in the calculation? I understand you can't really have a percentage when comparing to 0, but I don't think it's great to sacrifice important functionality just because of some mathematical quirk. Maybe add an optional flag to treat a 0 as 1 for the purpose of calculating the percentage or something like that. That would make the coloring accurate enough for practical usage. Any approximation would be better than not marking anything at all. |
