I am trying to display # of sell market orders as a text on a chart.

In order to display the data, I have selected two studies (hidden) on a blank chart, then used "Text Display for Study" to display the text values.

The hidden studies used to extract the sell market orders data include:

1. Numbers of Trades - Bid
2. Numbers Bars Calculated Values -> Bid Volume Total

The chart is set to start at 6:30am (the pacific time market open).

My question:
Why do these 2 studies show different values? (see the image: 166657 vs 221426)

As of my understanding, both studies should show the same data which is the numbers of orders executed at the bid (= sell market orders)

Did I misunderstand something?

Thanks

These are two different things. One is the number of trades at the bid and the other is the quantity traded at the bid. Not all trades are of a quantity of 1, therefore you will have a larger quantity than the number of trades.
