Does VbP work properly on bar periods based on volume?

I found this in the documentation:

In the case of Intraday charts, the chart bars must be based upon a fixed amount of time and must not be Number of Trades, Volume, Range, Reversal, Renko, Delta Volume, Price Change, Point and Figure Bars, at least when you want an exact match of volume profiles to other charts.
Volume By Price Study: Volume Profile Differences

Does that mean that there is some sort of inconsistency in terms of the VbP volume profiles when using bars with a bar period set to Volume instead of Time? What about when using numbers bars?

That does not mean that there is any inconsistency with the Volume by Price study. That section of the documentation is about differences in Volume by Price comparisons. And since non-time-based charts have their own sets of inconsistencies between charts, this makes it harder to determine where a problem may be coming from.

Numbers Bars have nothing to do with how the Volume by Price study is calculated.
