Trying to view old data in a Continuous contract chartbook

I'm trying to load a symbol MESH21 into my existing chartbook. When I open the chartbook and change symbol, it reverts back to MESH25. I can load this chart using New/Open intraday chart and see the old data, but then I have to load my custom settings. How do I do this if I want to replay the old data?
Note: I did create a continuous contract for these files and have max days set at 186.

Also, what's the best way to change a symbol in my chartbook while keeping the existing chart settings?

If the chart where you want to change the symbol to MESH21 is setup as a Continuous Futures Contract chart, then that chart will not let you load a previous contract. It will always jump back to the current contract. You would need to first change the Continuous Contract option to "None" and then you can change the symbol.

You would also want to change the "Data Limiting Method" to be "Use Date Range" in order to set the dates properly to see the H 2021 data.
