Clarification on Configuring DTC Service with Main and Sub-Instances

Hi Support, Good day to you. I am currently exploring the DTC Protocol and have a couple of questions regarding the configuration: In the Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings menu, if I set the Service to DTC Service, should this be applied to the main instance of Sierra Chart, or is it sufficient to apply it in a sub-instance? I noticed that in my sub-instance, the Service is already set as ( DTC-Sub Instance [trading] ). If I change the Service setting from Teton CME Order Routing to DTC Service, will the main instance and sub-instances still be able to receive data from the Sierra Chart setup, or will this disrupt the data feed? Objective: is to connect my test trading client to Sierra Chart via the DTC Protocol for testing and development purposes while maintaining the existing data feed and trading functionalities across the main and sub-instances. Your guidance on these points would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance. |

It does not make sense to set the main instance of Sierra Chart to the "DTC Service". This would only be in the case where you are connecting Sierra Chart to your own custom DTC protocol server, which you are not doing. Objective: In this case, do not change the Current Selected Service in Sierra Chart. Leave it as Teton order routing.
