Hello Team,

I am trying to use spreadsheet study to build an alert. My chart bar period is set to NUMBERS OF TRADES PER BAR set to 1. I have added below indicators

1. Number bar calculated values 2
2. bid and ask depth bar (sum bid)
3. bid and ask depth bar (sum ask)
4. Ask Volume
5. Bid Volume

I have attached the screenshot below where you will see bid and ask depth bar to be zero. Also, the pulling/stacking data is also zero in most of the rows. I want to understand if the data is correctly getting processed and if there is a way to avoid this. Please note, I use Sierra chart with Denali data feed and the screenshot present is of live data (not replay).

Thank You

The calculations can not keep up with a 1 trade per bar period. So you are seeing zeros where the calculations are not done for those bars.

The only solution is to use a different bar period.

Hello John,

Thanks for answering. If I contact third party developer and try to use ASCIL do you believe this can be achieved? what I am trying to understand is whether spreadsheet is not able to process the data and this can be fixed using ASCIL?

If you are using an ACSIL study and storing the data you want in the subgraph for that ACSIL study (i.e. not trying to push it to a Spreadsheet Study), then you can get what you need from this. An ACSIL study is given the information for what bar is being updated, so the program would need to keep track of the previous bar to ensure that everything in between is being captured properly, but it is not a problem.
