[User Discussion] - After first reset (correct), DOM VdBs stay linked (incorrect)

VDB Tot. Vol. = ID 1 Custom Study Button 3 = VDB Tot. Vol. Delta Vol. = ID 3 Custom Study Button 4 = Delta Vol I don't know why, but only the first time I press one of the reset button it properly works. Then, when one of 2 VbP is resetted, if I press one of the buttons both VbP reset. And so on. I just want each button work properly everytime I press it. So, when I manually reset the start time and both VbP are counted from 00:00:00, again, only the first time I press one of the button they properly work. I can send a video to explain everything. |

Guys I don't know if this is the correct way to report a problem I have, I've read all your documentation about how to post, but I can't find the link for posting on support board. I hope this is the right place. I still need help please.

We are not able to reproduce what you are seeing. When we setup the same scenario you have, the VbP Reset Button for each specific profile resets only that profile. After you select the reset button for one of the profiles, check the settings for both profiles and see what the "Start Time" is set to. It should only update for the one profile. Let us know if it is actually updating for both profiles. Also, keep in mind that if you are trying to reset the profile too quickly, it will not appear to reset as the profile is made up from the bar that contains the current time. So you need to look at what your "Bar Period" is set to. For example, if the bar period of the Trading DOM is 5 minutes, then within any given 5 minute period the profile will not appear to reset, as it is building from that current bar. You would need to wait for the next 5 minute period to start. Or use a smaller bar period on the Trading DOM. I already tried with 1 second candlestick bar and with different VbP configuration. It's always the same: the first reset button will work whatever I press. But at the point that both VbP are resetted, the reset buttons become like linked. Whatever button I press both VbP will keep resetting toghether. I have no idea of what to do if not unistall and re-start everything from scratch.

You do not need to re-install anything. That is never a solution for Sierra Chart. Done. I reinstall everythign from scratch. My DOM actually is much faster, but the problem is still there. My Windows 10 shows me seconds as well, idk if it can be relevant. I'll attach a pic of that too. Please save me from this.

I even notice right now that when I click "apply" from inside the study the button trigger. If I click apply from the list of studies it doesnt.

We are not able to reproduce what you are stating. When we select either of the "Custom Study 1" or "Custom Study 2" buttons, they only reset the particular profile to which they are connected. We are not able to reproduce a situation where both profiles are being reset. Is there something in particular that you are looking at in terms of the reset of the profiles that leads you to believe they are both being reset at the same time? Please use one button and check the "Start Time" in both the profiles and see if it is set to the exact same time in both cases.
