Is it possible to color the 70% most densely concentrated volume within the Volume Profile, rather than around the VPOC (Value Area), to highlight the truly compressed 70% of the volume? Thank you! |

We do not think there is a way to do what you want, but we are not sure how exactly you define the "most densely concentrated volume". Are you wanting the bars that make up the largest 70% of the volume, regardless of whether they are consecutive or not, or are you looking for something else?

I am looking for the smallest set of adjacent bars that together make up 70% of the total volume. Unlike the Value Area, which seeks the densest 70% around the VPOC, I want the densest 70% overall. Generally it will be around VPOC and give the same answer but not all the time.

Or another way that could be good is split the Volume profile in section of X % and change color for each part for example if we take X = 20% we split the volume profile in 5. The 20% lowest percent in a color, then the next piece in another color...

We do not have exactly what you are asking for. But refer to the following for a way to color the bars in certain percentage ranges based on the Point of Control volume: Volume By Price Study: Color Code Volume Bars Based on Percentage of POC For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
