Not sure if I have something wrong or not. When I do a 30m chart of the SP and NYSE Total Volume (symbols TVOL-SP and TVOL-NYSE) Mondays and the first day after a holiday do not chart correctly (see attached pic). http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?l=1410133709975.png |

actually looks like the first day after weekends and holidays volume starts charting from zero but subsequent days initial print and charting start much higher.

This is going to be dependent upon the Session Times in the chart. What are Chart >> Chart Settings >> Session Times set to? chart above is using Start Time: 09:30:00 End Time 16:29:59 NY Time (09:30:00 to 15:59:59 and 09:30 to 16:14:59 results in the same issue).

If you set the start time to 0:00, the volume should start at 0.

When I change Start Time to 00:00, symbol TVOL-NYSE picks up night volume for some days (see chart link below). http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?l=1410298268302.png How do I create a 30 minute chart of regular trading hours (09:30 to 16:29:59) volume for symbol TVOL-NYSE. |
