Hi, I need some help about placing orders , my problem is that whenever I enter a trade by Market as a entry type ,( so not Limit , or Stop Limit ) I just want to enter a trade at the Market price , so far it works , but my problem is that I want to be able to drag the Stop Loss line and Take Profit line to set my Stop loss price and Take profit price, but once I enter a trade at market price I can't do that , how can I achieve this , or how to I place a stop loss or take profit after entering a trade at the market price ? Thankyou |

The best way is to put the Target and Stop as attached orders with the parent Market Order. Just set their position so that they are far enough way that you will not get filled immediately, and then move them from there to where you want. Another option would be to add the orders after the Market has filled by sending them as "Send Attached Orders by Position/Price". But then, you are essentially doing the same thing, as you would need to have the orders far away first, then move from there. Refer to the following: Order Types: Send Attached Orders - Position/Price For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Hi, I wanted to ask if there was a setting that allows me to adjust the value of a take profit limit order or equivalent stop by dragging it on the candlestick chart? I have managed to get these lines displayed on the chart but as of now I have only managed to be able to drag-adjust the various limits within the DOM itself. Thanks, Ralph |

To move a Stop or Target order on a chart, just select the line and drag it up/down with your pointer to where you want to place it and then let up on the pointer to drop it where you want. You can change the particular way you handle selecting the line and moving it through the following setting: Global Trade Settings Windows: Use Click, Release, Click Method to Adjust Orders (Global Settings >> Chart Trade Settings >> General >> Order Entry) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
