Trading Keyboard Shortcuts and attaching orders to existing filled order

Hi I trade fast moving and volatile markets and keyboard shortcuts are absolutely essential to my trading for placing and managing orders, moving open(not yet executed orders) regardless of whether they are buy/sell limit orders or Buy/sell stop orders. Sierra chart seems to have separate keyboard shortcuts for limit orders and stop orders. This had caused wrong orders being placed in a fast moving markets, not being able to uptick/downtick open stop orders... Please, please give us an option to simplify buy or sell without having to distinguish between limit/stop orders ie: #1 just 1 key to buy and 1 key to sell at current pointer price ( Using Global Settings > Customize keyboard shortcuts i have to create 2 sets ie. one set for limit orders and one set for stop orders) #2 1 key to uptick open order(not filled yet) and 1 key to downtick open order(not filled yet) #3 1 key to uptick stop and 1 key to downtick stop Attaching stop and Target to Current position(active and filled order): #1 How do i attach a stop loss to an active(filled) position? #2 How do i attach a Target to an active(filled) position? Really appreciate it, Thank you! |

#1: This is a feature request. This does not currently exist. We take all suggestions, but we can not say when we would get to any particular item. #2: There are keyboard shortcuts for "Non-Attached Limit Order Tick Up/Down". This does what you are wanting for Limit orders. #3: There are keyboard shortcuts for "Target Order Tick Up/Down" and "Stop Order Tick Up/Down". #4 - To attach a Stop and/or Target to an existing position, use one of the "Send Attached Orders by Position/Price" order types. Hi John My reply for above numbered comments: #1 hope this functionality gets implemented soon.... #2 it only works for limit orders and not stop orders. #3 yes it is working #4 the stops orders attached this way do not seem to uptick/down tick with my assigned keyboard shortcut for stops. please let me know. 1. We can not say when we would get to any particular request. 2. Yes, we noted that in our response. 3. Great. 4. Yes, that is one of the downsides. But then there are other keyboard shortcuts for "Non-Attached Limit Order Tick Up/Down". Yes, we know you also want a Stop. Or better yet, the sent orders to be attached. We have made notes of this.
