Hi there,

I'm new to SC software and would like to know:
In case there is an open position and my connection gets interrupted - will the StopLoss be there on the server side no matter what???
So, is a DOM's StopLoss posted (by Trigger Trail Stop or any other targets...) on the Server or local side???
How about Trailing Stops, are they also Server sided or Local?

Thank you,
Hank

It depends on the trading service you are using and how they handle these items. Refer to the following:

1. So, if I use trading services as Denali Teton => will the StopLoss be kept on the service and get executed even my net connection interrupted???

2. DO any of your DOM Targets have a strategy with an option of automated Reverse at StopLoss, like NinjaTrader does?
That would be extremely helpful!!!

Thank you,
Hank

1. With Teton the working orders are kept on the exchange or on our servers (depending on the order type), except for specific client-side orders. So if you are not using Sierra Chart or you do not have access, your orders will be executed.

2. We do not have a specific order type that does this, but there are several trading studies that can be used to do this, including the Spreadsheet System for Trading. Refer to the following:

1. If I get it right, external data connectivity starts with Service Packages 10/11/12, then -
Q: How is real time trading done with SP 3/5? Using strictly Teton, or 3/5 for simulation only? Or...?

2. If SP's 3/5 for simulation only, then -
Q: Are they using real time or delayed data?

3. I'm a DOM/Volume scalper. No charts.
Q: Could Volume Profile Interactive Drawing Tool be used in DOM by filtering Isberg, Max & etc., or it's strictly for Charts?

4. MBO is valuable to me, but it is only in Service Package 12.
Q: Would that be possible to have a simulated demo on SP 12 for a week or so?

Thank you,
HH

1Q. Packages 3 and 5 do not support live trading. They are meant for learning and testing. You can do Simulated trading with packages 3 and 5, including the use of our Simulated Futures Trading Service.

2Q. There is real-time data available with any package for FOREX, CFD, Crypto Currency, and Market Statistics. Any real-time data that requires a paid exchange is not available in packages 3 and 5. Delayed streaming data is available with any package for The CME Group, EUREX, CFE, and U.S. Equities.

3Q. The Volume Profile Drawing Tool can only be used with Charts. It will not work on a Trading DOM that does not have any bars.

4Q. You can be on Package 3 or 5 and get a 1 month access to Package 12. You do this by selecting the option for "Evaluate Highest Available Service Package" on the Main Control Panel for your account.

Let's say if I get on SP3 today Oct 15 then -
Q: Will I get a full month of it until Nov 15, or it'll be just until the end of this month?

Thank you,
HH

Sierra Chart packages run on a 31 day renewal cycle. When you purchase a package for 1 month, you are given 31 days of access. So if you activate the package today, you will have access through November 15, 2024.

Although it may not matter now, we just want to point out that the exchanges renew on a calendar month basis, so if you were to activate an exchange today, you would pay the full price for the remainder of the time in this month.

I got that, but SP3 has no data/exchange connection, right?
So, in this case it ain't matter.
All I wish to get is "Evaluate Highest Available Service Package" with SP3 to check on MBO:
Q: In this case with SP3 & Evaluation, will I get a full month of MBO?

Yes, in this situation of having Package 3 and the Evaluation of the Highest package, you will get the MBO data in your charts. Note that you will still have delayed streaming data (not real-time) and you only have access to MBO for the CME Group and EUREX.

Teton Level 2 DOM shows depth of Bids/Asks and accumulation of DOM's added Volume column on every level.
Obviously Level 1 has no depth of Bids/Asks.
Q: Will it still get and KEEP accumulation of DOM's Volume column as Level 2 does, or only on the current price?

Thank you,
HH

If you are asking if you will continue to have access to the Level 2 Market Depth when you change to a paid package, then it depends. You do have access to this data for the CME Group and EUREX with our Delayed Streaming data. But, if you want real-time data, then you will need to pay for the exchange that includes the Market Depth data in order to get the Level 2 data.

No, that's not what I'm asking about.
I'm not talking about this fake account.

That was a general/hypothetical Q on only real/paid accounts:
Q: Will added DOM's Volume column still be showing/printing with Teton Pkgs 10/11/12 Level 1 data subscription?

I see the DOM's Volume being printing on all of the price levels with LEVEL 2, which is perfectly fine.
Will it be doing same with Level 1 data subscription regardless 10/11/12 pkg selected?

You will get the Level 1 data with any package and exchange option. The exchanges that do not include the Market Depth still do have the Level 1 Market Depth (1 level on each side at the best bid and best ask).

I guess, I'm not explaining this simple thing right. Let me try one more time to put it out. Thanks for being partitioned.

Let's say I get Pkg 12, sign up for CME Level 1 Market Depth (1 level on each side at the best bid and best ask). No problems.

Now I:
1. Set DOM for trading ES.
2. Click on the Main Bar Trade menu item, select DOM's columns, and add a Currently Traded Total Volume column to the DOM(which keeps on accumulating).

Q: Will the Volume column, in this case, having Level 1 Market Depth => show only current price level Volume and will be erased every second with the price going back & forth??? Or, will it keep the Volume on each price level accumulating as it does with Level 2?????

The "Currently Traded Total Volume" column has nothing to do with the Market Depth data. It displays the actual traded current volumes. So it will accumulate as you see it now regardless of whether you have level 1 or level 2 Market Depth data.

Refer to the information for that column at the following link:
Global Trade Settings Windows: Current Traded Total Volume - Left/Center/Right Aligned
