I have downloaded too much historical data for an instrument and when I load a chartbook with 10 charts it takes too long for the charts too calculate. How do I delete data for an instrument and have it apply for all charts that display that instrument?

For this particular case, you can set the Days to Load to a lower number on your charts: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_ChartSettings.html#DaysToLoad And File >> Save your chartbook. This means you will have the option to load more data for some charts, and less for others. If you still want to have less data in your data file, then you need to do the following: 1. Go to Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings. 2. Set the Max (Maximum) Historical Intraday Days to Download to the number of days of Intraday data you want to have downloaded from the server. 3. Go back to one of your charts with the symbol that you want to have less data for and select Edit >> Delete All Data And Download. This only needs to be done once per symbol. All the other charts with that symbol will reload automatically. Sierra Chart Support Date Time Of Last Edit: 2014-09-01 22:16:50
