Combine studies collections?

Is it possible to merge two or more studies collections together into one bigger collection? It is relatively time consuming to work with large groups of studies when they are trying to save, apply or just ok back to the chart. So, I have taken to working with smaller chunks to get the work done first to see if it is worth doing. But then, after all the work is done, it'd be nice not to have to redo it all, just to combine the different chart collections together. Is there a way to add a studies collection to another collection? Be nice if we could just have a list of collections for each chart. That way, we could use more or less for each chart more easily. It's not a problem to remove studies. It's the adding that takes a lot of time, of course. Also, the ability to renumber the ID's would be nice in the future, so that they actually are in useful order, rather than just by when you first entered the study. Thank you for all your work! These are the best charts I have ever worked with so far! |

Tried to open a collections file to see if I could get a look at how it is coded. I guess not. Hmmm...

You can name and save collections of studies when in the Studies Window [f6]

This can be done and we will be providing documentation on how to do this. The previous answer was from a user.

This works but it is cumbersome to add/remove and customize the collection, isn't it? Idea: I feel it might be nicer to keep a library of all of my individual studies for me. As I add a new study to any chart, just add it to my library file (hopefully in a json format so that it's text based and can be edited by hand if needed, searched, and easily transferred to another computer or person). When I want to create a collection, I would open my library and check boxes on all the studies that I want included. Then I might want to name it and save it as a permanent collection of studies to apply as a one-click in the studies menu. |

Idea: Use `library of all of my individual studiesĀ“ as your template and remove those studys that you do not need in your new collection and save it with a new name.
