What kind of line is this? Is it a drawing, or is it a study of some kind?

You are not giving us enough information to be able to help you. You say "When the market comes to my marked area" - how is your "marked area" defined? What are you using to make this "marked area". We need the specific information in order to tell you how to create an alert for it.

I apologize. I will try to express myself through pictures. example. imagine that the green part on the graph is the part where you want to trade according to your strategy. but you don't want to sit by the chart all day. so I set a few pips of the BLUE line, which allowed me to open the "Alert" box. The second picture is just to show which name I mean. I could theoretically set it up, but I have a problem pairing it with my phone and Telegram. I just need some guidance on how to do it. Did I give this information comprehensibly? I apologize, I'm a beginner. thank you for your help.

So you are fine setting up the Drawing Alert, or do you need help with this? In order to get an alert to Telegram, you first need to setup an alert number that you will use with the drawing alert. The instructions to setup an alert number are at the following link: General Settings Window: Configuring Alert Number Instructions You then need to make sure you have that alert number selected for the Alert Sound on the Chart Drawing Tool Alert that you have created. The next step is to setup the Chat to receive the alerts. Follow these instructions: Chat and Communications Platform: Using Chat for Remote Alert Notifications Then to get this to work with Telegram, follow these instructions: Chat and Communications Platform: Telegram Integration For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Thank you for your help, I managed to connect Telegram with Sierra Chart, but I still can't finish drawing it on the graph. Can you please look at it for me, where I can make a mistake? example, the blue area on the chart is the area I'm waiting for and want to trade. The green line shows the ALERT that I would like to activate so that it warns me in time. I am sending a photo of how I filled it out. thank you for your help. |

You are selecting the "Open" to be crossing the drawing. If you want an alert when the price crosses the drawing, then you need to select the "Last".

The "Alert Manager" gives you information on when alerts are triggered, or if there is an issue. Refer to the following: Alerts Manager But once you have an alert working properly, you should not need to look in the Alert Manager for it. You would be getting a sound or a notification when the alert occurs. Thanks for the navigation, but it still didn't confirm the Alert :( Couldn't it be a mistake that I don't have the correct or no "Comparison Precision" entered? thank you |

The setup on your Drawing Alert looks fine. But we do not know anything about the particular drawing and where the current data is located. Has the price actually crossed over the particular drawing that you are working with when the Alert Condition is set? If so, then what does your "Alert Manager" window show when this occurs?

I also wondered if the computer must be running together with the Sierra Chart platform when Alert is entered? Because when I enter it and have the platform turned on, it suddenly works for me. thank you

Yes, your Sierra Chart software must be running for the Alert to function.

Hello, can I ask for help again? I'm turning on Sierra Chart on a new computer. Until now, everything worked for me on my old computer. I logged in, turned on CQG data, logged in, switched to SC data and I'm still in delayed data. Can you look at it for me please? The second thing it does for me is that the Message Log keeps popping up after a few seconds and it probably shows some kind of error. The window keeps popping up, I can't turn it off. Thanks for the help

The reason for this is that your exchange selection did not renew on September 1, 2024. Part of the problem is that your most recent entry for the "CME Non-Professional Certification" has the answer of "No" to the question of "Certified as a Non-Professional". Please redo the "CME Non-Professional Certification" at the following link and if you are a non-professional trader (i.e. you do not trade other people's money) then please answer the question of "Certified as a Non-Professional" as "Yes". https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=ExchangeAgreements Please post back in this thread when you have that completed. is it possible to change this state just by changing the computer? thank you for the answer

No, this did not change due to a computer change. It was a change made on our end due to the way you last answered the question in that agreement. Please redo the agreement and answer the question properly and we can change it back for you.
