One thing we noticed during the video, when we scrolled back in time and started the replay again was that a position that did not exist previously, then appeared. We were not quite sure about this during the making of the video. We just Flattened the position, but we realized now why that happened. When a replay is started, all of the existing order fills are loaded into an internal trade list in the chart. All of the replay order fills for the symbol from the earliest order fill, to the time that the replay is being started at, are loaded. If at that point in time, the fills indicate there is a Trade Position, then it will appear. This is the reason for this. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. yes I'm aware, but since there are so many color settings, I'm afraid making the bg black manually might hide something else in the future and may cause problems, thats why i keep asking.

We would not provide the main configuration file because it contains so many other settings which will change and not be what you want. We just simply would not provide that. Also our configuration files that we use, are not really logical because there are many settings which are set a certain way for testing. Although the default is a black background. Totally agree. SC is on track to being the best trading platform in terms of value and performance. It would be really helpful to have images or videos to explain questions where most are asking. This helps to reduce questions posted on the support board. Another way is to outsource the video or images content creation to individuals to exchange for usage credit. Simply list the requirements and topics needed and many are happy to help. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2018-05-12 15:39:20

We apologize for the long-delay. We are just working on text documentation with images. That is going to be better. We realize a video is not really appropriate. We should have just done this earlier. Documentation will be ready in about three hours. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Although the default is a black background. Follow the instructions here to reset Sierra Chart to a default state:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/helpdetails39.html I'm confused by this statement. SC was never in a default state with a black background for me. Is this because I am an Infinity Futures (TransAct) customer? I have modified the colors myself to give me a black background but I definitely have missed certain elements at times which has been very frustrating. I would love to be able to set it to a "default" state with a black background. I don't see anything on that help page about doing this, and as I stated resetting to "defaults" did not set anything to a black background for me. Everything is on painfully-bright white.
