I am disappointed to see how the updated version of the text tool works. I have to go through too many mouse clicks to use it now. In the older version, if you double click on text on your chart, you could start editing the text right away, and across multiple lines, and your updates were also visible on the chart as you typed. In this new version, after double clicking on the text, you still have to click in the "value" section, then if you want it to go across multiple lines you have to click the arrows on the right to open up the box, and sometimes even adjust the window size, and you also cannot see the updates. This new version is taking a step backwards and for someone who makes many notes on a chart, it adds up to way more time wasted. Please see the video attached to show the difference between the versions. |

and sometimes even adjust the window size The window size of the Text Drawing Properties window is saved with the chart. Confirm this is the case. So you should not have to do a resize of it once you get it the way you want.We are still working on everything else. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Yes, you're right. When I change the window size the first time I use the text tool, it is this same size for all the subsequent times I want to add more notes. So this part is great. Looking forward to the additional changes. |

My thanks to User62936 for raising this. I'm also a text user and was feeling a little dismayed at the changes. Thanks to the SC team for getting these changes done. |
