Hi,
How would one install 4 copies of sierra on the same pc so that all 4 installs receive live futures data?
What would be the associated costs involved in terms of platforms and data feeds?
Thanks

This can be done a few different ways, each with their own tradeoffs:

- Sub instance: You can get data on as many instances as you want to using sub instances. But the Sub-Instances are only connected to the same trading service as the Main Instance from which they were started.
File Menu: New Instance (File)

- Separate installations: You are limited to only being able to get the data from our Denali Exchange Data Feed to 3 installations at a time on a single computer.
Denali Exchange Data Feed: Denali Exchange Data Feed Connections on Same Computer Simultaneously

- Separate installations on Two Computers: You can install Sierra Chart on two different computers and have 2 installations on each one. You would have to pay double the exchange fees in order to get the data to both computers at the same time.

Hi,
Thanks for your quick and detailed response. It is much appreciated. I have 2 further question in relation to your response please.

1) How is a sub instance different to a separate installation?
2) Is there a way to pay more and get the denali feed on 4 installations on a single computer?

Best regards !

1) How is a sub instance different to a separate installation?

As noted in our previous response - a Sub-Instance is only connected to the same trading service as the main instance. If you are only using a single trading service, then this is the method to use.

If you are using multiple trading services, then you would want to use multiple installations.

2) Is there a way to pay more and get the denali feed on 4 installations on a single computer?

No, the exchanges have set the rules, and we just enforce them. What you can do is covered in the connections documentation we listed above and is here again:
