I am trying to set up a Heatmap combining Market Depth Historical Graph study with Numbers bars. I have tried and it didn't work (Heatmap won't show). Putting it on a simple (30min) Barchart, exporting the study and inmporting to the footprint chart, crashes the footprint. Any suggestions? |

What is the symbol for which you are doing this? We are not understanding this - "Putting it on a simple (30min) Barchart, exporting the study and inmporting to the footprint chart, crashes the footprint." What are you exporting and importing? What do you mean by crashes the footprint? For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Hi John, sorry for the fuzziness of my request. To clarify this: The Symbol is FESX I tried to directly add the Market Depth Historical Graph study to a already configured footprint chart, but the study didn't show. So I opened a fresh chart, 30 min barchart, same symbol and configured it (MDHG) until it started to look what I want. There is the option to save a single study, which I did. Then again back to the original chart and added the saved study. When I say "crash" I mean that when I confirmed with apply, the basic chart switched to barchart (default) that is the numbers bars study was not visible any more. I hope that this helps to clarify the issue. What I want is to have a MDHG on a footprint chart. My first question is: Is that possible at all? If yes, how can I proceed to succeed? Thank you in advance for your advice. Andreas |

It sounds like you used the "Study Collection" option to get the Market Depth Historical Graph settings to the chart with the Numbers Bars. When you do this, by default, the Study Collection is going to remove any existing studies on the chart. That is why the Numbers Bars were removed. Refer to the following for how to save a Study Collection so that you are prompted whether or not to remove existing studies: Study Collections: Adding a Study Collection Without Clearing Existing Studies On The Chart (Prompt to Remove Existing Studies) As to the Market Depth Historical Graph not working initially on the chart with the Numbers Bars study, that sounds like you just did not have any historical Market Depth data stored for that symbol, so the market depth historical graph did not have anything to show immediately. You would need to wait a bit for the market depth to start displaying in the current bar and then collecting from there. Also refer to the following for how to download historical market depth data, particularly step #8 for forcing a download: Market Depth Historical Graph: Downloading Of Historical Market Depth Data For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
