To open a chart for a previous contract just type in the symbol you want in the Find Symbol window and select the button for the type of chart to open. For example, to get the ES M contract, you would enter ESM24-CME (or the appropriate symbol based on the service you are connected to). When you do this, you will get a notice that the symbol needs to be rolled over. Just ignore the message and it will go away after about 30 seconds. You can then work with that chart like any other chart (except you can not make it a Continuous Futures Contract chart). For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Thanks, though I mean how hes able to have both the ESU24 and the ESm24 up simultaneously (notice how ESM2024 is in a more transparent draw style) but he still has both up. |

He is using the September contracts, but still has ESM24 up on the same chartbook

Our guess is the magic of "Cut/Paste". In other words, there is not a way to have a chart exactly as they have it shown. If you want to continue to see the ESM24 data from before the rollover in an ESU24 chart, then this would be done by using a Continuous Futures Contract Chart option. Refer to the following: Continuous Futures Contract Charts For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
