Hi, Per my research alerts should be functional in replay correct? Please advise if there is something I need to do to ensure that... I am on the latest build. Also off and on I'm having Order Strategies leave either the stop or a target. Please confirm I should be able to lock the terminal and let it happen up until at least the 4pm session ending correct? Please offer any help on how to prevent orphans? ty dwayne |

Yes, alerts are functional during a replay. If you are having a problem, we would need more information on what exactly is occurring. Please confirm I should be able to lock the terminal and let it happen up until at least the 4pm session ending correct? Please offer any help on how to prevent orphans?
As long as the orders are put in as OCO orders, which will be the case if the Attached Orders are entered in the Trade Window. On the Trade Window for the Attached Orders is an OCO grouping. So the Stop and Target are tied together through that group. Make sure that these are correctly corresponding to each other as you are expecting. If you are entering your working orders through another mechanism, then it depends on how that is being handled. How are you entering these orders? Also, is this an issue with either the built-in simulation mode or the Simulated Futures Trading Service (Trading Evaluator)? Or is this just during live trading? With live trading, it's possible that the trading service you are working with is not properly sending the information back to Sierra Chart that the order should be removed. If this occurs, check your "Trade >> Trade Service Log" to see if it shows anything in terms of a bad connection or lack of an update. Also check the "Trade >> Trade Activity Log" for Orders and see if there is an update to actually close that working order or not - or if there was some kind of error. Refer to the following: Trade Activity Log Analysis: Determining the Origin of a New/Modified Order For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

g'day, thanks for the response. Yesterday I did a replay of ES for june 18th a.m., setting various price level alerts to confirm it still isn't signaling, yet ensuring alerts are on, price gets hit and no audio alert is witnessed. Next time I get an orphan I'll try to trap and report it, but I always use attached orders and OCO groups entering thru the trade window... I attempted to upload the 3 images related, software would only accept 2... basically price 5550 gets passed and alert doesn't trigger...

Sorry, we were not thinking of the "Symbol Alerts" when we stated that Alerts work in replay. The Symbol alerts do not, as these use the Current Quote Data from the data feed. Refer to the following: Alerts Manager: Symbol Alerts The standard "simple alerts" and drawing alerts do work during a replay. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
