Hi team, I am wondering if there is a study that will automatically track the current price and hover a horizontal line above and below the price? example: a 4 point tracking line: ES is trading at 5350, i would like to see a horizontal line at 5354 and one below at 5346. if ES then trades at 5352, the horizontal line has tracked with it so the lines above and below are 5356 and 5348. This will help with a technical/visual of where an ideal entry is to get risk off. Thanks! |

There is not a specific study that does this, but it can be put together pretty easily from existing studies. There are a number of ways to do this, we will just give you the one as an example. - Add the "Current Price Line" study the chart. This will give you the line at the current price. - Add 2 copies of the "Study Subgraph Add" study. - Set each copy of the "Study Subgraph Add" to be in Region 1 and to be "Based On" the "Current Price Line". The Input Data will automatically be set to the "CPL" subgraph, since this is the only subgraph in the Current Price Line study. - Enter the amount of the offset above the current price line (in Points) in the "Amount to Add" Input for one of the Study Subgraph Add studies. - Enter the amount of the offset below the current price line (in negative Points) in the "Amount to Add" Input for the other Study Subgraph Add study. Refer to the following: Current Price Line Study Subgraph Add Chart Studies: Settings and Inputs Tab >> Based On - Basing a Study on Another Study Chart Studies: Settings and Inputs Tab >> Chart Region For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing Date Time Of Last Edit: 2024-06-12 19:04:43

Thanks, however, there is not a 'amount to add' section on the subgraph, can you advise where to find this? I attempted to upload a screenshot, however that seems to be quite a process. thanks |

You are using the "Study Subgraphs Add" and not the "Study Subgraph Add". The 's' in Subgraph(s) makes all the difference.
