Is there a hot key or some way to switch between tool configs without haveing to open tools menu and clicking curent tool config?

You can setup Control Bar buttons and/or Keyboard shortcuts to select a specific Configuration number. You can also setup Control Bar buttons to select a tool and tool configuration at the same time.
