Hello
I am trying to output an alarm via a study on a horizontal ray

This works fine with a horizontal line. e.g.
L < UDID[51][-1]

This does not work with a horizontal RAY.
What am I doing wrong?

It does not work with a Horizontal Ray because a Horizontal Ray only has 1 anchor point and the system was not setup to handle this situation.

You can use the other alert method for referencing the value of an anchor to get what you want. Since this is a horizontal ray, the anchor value is the same value as the rest of the line. Refer to the following:

Unfortunately, I don't understand that.
Would you be so kind as to give me a short example?

How could I address the horizontal ray from a study e.g. ID4.SG1

What would the syntax be?

UDID[x].y

where x is the drawing ID and y is the anchor name. For instance, you were referencing a drawing with ID of 51 in your original post, therefore your new alert condition would be the following;
=L < UDID[51].A1

Thank you very much.

Would this also work for a study with horizontal ray?

I have such a study that automatically draws the rays in the chart.
(ID4.SG1)

Unfortunately I can't find the right syntax for it.

You would have to make the rays that are drawn from the custom study as "User Drawn Drawings". Refer to the following:
