So I'm using LOG for price change of close written as =LOG(E3-E4) but keep #NUM! according to documentation " if either the given Number or Base is less than or equal to 0" i assume because some of the values are negative after subtraction? would taking the absolute fix this? I'm confused what I'm doing wrong

You can not take the log of a negative number. Taking the absolute value of the difference will resolve the error, but we are not sure what you are trying to accomplish, so we can not say if it will give you what you want. Be aware that you can set the vertical scale to be a logarithmic scale. Refer to the following: Chart Menu: Logarithmic Scale (Chart menu) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

John, Yes taking the absolute worked. but before I proceed to take up your time on this issue. I need to try other measures, I'll get back to you |
