version 2627 Chat Window > Commands > New Chat > Gives me an error in the message log: Chat name must be at least 5 characters. Chat not created. How do I create a chat, and give it an appropriate name? I do not see the ability to name a chat anywhere. |

When you are starting a "New Chat" you are connecting to another person. This is different from creating a group. In the page that comes up after you select "New Chat" is an entry for "Search Text (portion of username)". This is where you enter the Sierra Chart Account Name of the person you want to connect to. Then select the "Perform Search" button to search for that person. If you find them, they will be in the "Search Results" list and you can select the person you want to chat with. This will then create a new chat with that person's Chat Name showing on the left in your chat window.
