When using the 'Price triggered by total threshold' in the Volume At Price Threshold Alert study

I want to colour the alert with the 'dominant' sides value....so when the bid side at the alert price is higher I want the alert colour to be Green and when the Ask is higher I want the alert to be red for example.....

So which setting is that?

Based on Slope
Based on +/-
Same as Base graph

(Note: I DO NOT want the alert to be coloured depending on if the candle is up or down)

(This is not explained on the study descrition page)

Thx

The only way to do this would be to modify the code for this study. The code is located in the file named "Studies8.cpp" under the "ACS_Source" folder under your main Sierra Chart installation folder. Refer to the following:

Oh, I thought one of the options gave me the required results! Damn!

I'm not a coder.

Where explains what each of the options mentioned means???

Thx

Sorry John

But the options I refer to are not documented on that page.

Please see Screenshot attached and you will see what exactly I refer to.

Sorry - that documentation is here:
Chart Studies: Subgraphs Tab >> Auto Coloring

But those options do not have a way that makes any sense in relation to the "Volume at Price Threshold Alert V2". For instance, you can change the "Auto-Coloring" for "Trigger 1" to be "Based on Slope" and if the change from one bar to the next is sloping up, you will get the primary color and if the slope is downwards, you will get the secondary color. But this is not really relevant to anything.

And there are no options for coloring based on the Bid/Ask dominance.

Thx

But it was in relation to " Volume at Price Threshold Alert" (V1) not V2...

Does the same apply?? It makes no sense in relation to Bid/Ask dominance for 'Price triggered by total threshold'

Yes, the same applies. You can set the "Auto-Coloring" options, but there is not one that gives you the ability to color based on dominance.
