From our ISP:

Date of work: 21-MARCH-2024
Start time: 00:00 CET
End time: 06:00 CET
Place of work: Frankfurt
Planned Work: EU9181-1
Work description: Service migration to a new device

The interruption to your service should not exceed Up to 45 minutes.

Our network operations engineers closely monitor the work and will do everything possible to minimize any inconvenience to you.

We do have a backup ISP which can be used, but it is a lower Bandwidth ISP. The one above, provides is 10 Gb of connectivity to the Internet. The other one is well below 100 MB. And we think using the backup ISP, even temporarily would also cause a disruption and we think it is best just simply to do nothing unless there is more of an interruption.

We have seen Internet interruptions like this before, in the Frankfurt FR2 Equinix data center. Usually they are about 10 minutes.

We will be monitoring the downtime and be available immediately to take steps, if it lasts more than 45 minutes. But we do not even think it would last that long. Our experience with these interruptions is that they take about 10 minutes.

This ISP downtime has no effect, on the source data feed. We will still be receiving and processing the data from EUREX, and maintaining historical data.

Additional note: Although our backup Internet connection has limited bandwidth that is still sufficient to serve data because in this case we would relay the market data to another server nearby to the Frankfurt server. This other server has much higher available bandwidth.

The ISP maintenance is being done at this time. EUREX data is not being delivered although on the server it is being recorded and processed. We will keep you up-to-date when it comes back. This is an ideal time because we are only 20 minutes into the open for EUREX in the early morning.
