Hi, the trade activity log used to have a quick dropdown filter in the top row. Did this get removed in the latest updates? Maybe I changed a setting?

All of the settings to control what is displayed in the Trade Activity Log now can be opened through the "DisplaySettings" menu command at the top of that window. This opens a window where all of the settings are located. This settings window can stay open continuously. Just press Apply or OK to apply them.

Before the update it was possible to filter different notes in the trade activity log. Now I can only select "All notes" even though I have documented several notes (see screenshot). How can I filter these notes now? Thank you!

P.S.: I also think that the previous quick filter was more user friendly.

I also agree with the above posters that the previous quick filter was much better (quicker and easier) than the new way. If possible to bring back, that would be amazing.

Regarding this we want you to update to the latest release which is now 2632. Instructions:

And the Display Settings can be left always open and just moved to the side and made narrow, to have the settings available for quick changing. If you have multiple monitors it can even be placed on another monitor.

I need to add to the votes top revert. Even with the window open and off to the side, this is a huge regression in usability. Whatever "fix" this change implemented should be done another way.

Please do not ask. This is definitively never going to happen and we are more than happy to lose business at this point over this and we are happy to give you a refund. We are not going to expose ourselves to more Microsoft insanity and garbage and problems .

This is very difficult putting controls directly on windows. There are so many inherent problems with that. And besides, all of the controls will never fit there anyway. We are never going to revert to the way it was. It was simply dumb.

While everyone else in the world, is going full speed, totally botching their software making it unreliable, and inefficient as possible and an absolute disaster, and utter crap and destroying it. We are working to make Sierra Chart well organized, clean and fast and efficient and stable.

Then there is a lot more we need to do. And where there are little issues, with the changes, we will address those promptly. And we are very sorry we are be so far behind.

People are going to wake up one day, and wonder what were they thinking with all of the garbage and insanity going on with software design. Sierra Chart is going to stand alone and do things right. Not going in the wrong direction. The software world for the most part is destroying itself. We are never going to be a part of that. And of course the rest of the world is destroying itself as well due to mass mental illness and insanity.

I am using Version 2657 and I am not able to filter my log by notes. the only option there is is All notes.

I have added notes to my trades by editing the trade and adding the note in the note field in the open(entry) trade.

In this case you have to manually type the Note. We see you cannot manually type the note so we will add support for that.

Just tried it out. Its not working how I expected. Upon filtering with the note, I want it to display every trade with the same note but instead its just displaying something random which i am not able to understand.

There could not be any random issue with this. This is not even technically possible. Be sure after setting the Note to press Apply All.

Provide a screenshot, of the Trade Activity Log Display Settings window and also of the Trade Activity Log window itself showing the Note column.
